Week 4 NFL Picks

With Week 4 featuring a fantasy bonanza in LA, Week 4 is off to a great start. Lets break down all of the games and give a game pick for each.

But first, here is a check on our year to date numbers:

Week 3 Record: 8-8/Overall Record: 15-17/Best Bets Record:1-2

Rams (-6.5) vs. Vikings: Won this game on Thursday night. Mazel!

Patriots (-6.5) vs. Dolphins: Are the Pats really going to lose 3 in a row?  Are the Dolphins really going to start 4-0 and have a 3-game lead over the Pats?  No and no.  Brady gets it done at home as they get back to .500.

Bengals (+4) @ Falcons: Fantasy bonanza time in Atlanta.  The Bengals are healthier on both sides of the ball and as long as Dalton limits his mistakes and Green stays on the field (groin), the Bengals have a shot to win this game outright, so thank you for the points!

Packers (-9.5) vs. Bills: What are the chances Josh Allen goes on the road and beats the Vikings and Packers in consecutive weeks?  Yeh, not good.  Packers rebound from an ugly road loss at Washington with a big effort.

Lions (+3) @ Cowboys: The Cowboys are a hot mess. No O-Line, no receivers, a skittish QB and now no Sean Lee.  Lions win as the talent on the offensive side is too much for the Cowboys to overcome.  Big days for Golladay and Johnson yet again.

Colts (-1) vs. Texans: Toss up game.  Are the Texans that bad?  Are the Colts really capable of playing with the big boys like the Eagles?  Home field advantage wins out here, as the Texans look like they have taken a large step backwards.  Watson may not be 100% and the defense is a shell of its former self.

Jaguars (-7.5) vs. Jets: Sam Darnold on the road against the Jags defense.  No thanks.

Bears (-3) vs. Buccaneers: Here that?  That is the Fitzmagic music running out.  After a 3-INT performance against the Steelers, he now plays a real defense.  Winston makes an appearance, but the Bears win by double digits.

Eagles (-3.5) @ Titans: Eagles get back on track and take care of the Titans who have won two games with no quarterback being able to throw a pass more than 10 yards down the field.  With Ajayi back, the Eagles will utilize their back-field weapons all over the field and let Wentz ease into game number two.

Seahawks (-3) @ Cardinals: Give me Russell Wilson against a rookie QB any day of the week and twice on Sunday.  With Doug Baldwin likely back, Wilson gets his main target back on the field.  I like the Hawks to win on the road.

Browns (+2.5) @ Raiders: 2 in a row for Cleveland? I think so.  The Raiders are a hot mess and cannot get out of their own way.  Browns have enough on offense to cover and win outright.  Plus their defense has developed nicely, with Denzel Ward already looking like an all-pro.

Chargers (-10.5) vs. 49ers: Best bet #1.  CJ Beathard will not score more than 15 points against the Chargers.  The Chargers will score 30+ against SF.  Remember, the Chargers gave up large point totals to the Rams and Chiefs.  The two best offenses in football.  The 49ers are not either of them.  Chargers roll.

Saints (-3) @ Giants: Despite this game being played outdoors, the Saints have too many weapons for the G-Men.  No Vernon, Apple and Harrison means trouble for the defense and Brees, Kamara and Thomas have a field day.  Saints by 7+.

Ravens (+3) @ Steelers: Ravens win outright.  They are the hungrier team, the more together team and at least have a semblance of a defense they can put on the field.  Ravens win 24-20.

Chiefs (-4.5) @ Broncos: Best bet #2. This should be fun.  Mahomes goes for over 300 and 3-TD again, as the Chiefs showcase their new superstar on Monday Night Football.  31-20 Chiefs if it is even that close.
