The EA Sports Madden 19 cover was released this week, and it looks Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles will be on the cover for the 2018 NFL season. Many people speculated that Tom Brady of the New England Patriots would make back to back covers for the first time in Madden video gaming history, but since he choked in the Super Bowl that didn’t happen. Jason Kelce was even considered for the cover in his Mummer’s suit after his famous super bowl victory speech in Philadelphia for the Eagles parade. This year Brandon Perna of That’s Good Sports reveals the top 10 Madden 19 cover designs that were almost considered for the honor.
There were so many great players and moments from the 2017 NFL season that this was a truly tough decision for the marketing department at EA Sports. The Minnesota Vikings had the miracle connection between Case Keenum and Stefon Diggs. Aqib Talib of the Denver Broncos and Michael Crabtree of the Oakland Raiders, two teams who were not good, gave fans the best follow up fight, with round 2-Chainz. The Cleveland Browns went 0-16. Backup quarterbacks, Jared Goff, Case Keenum, and Nick Foles (BDN) all had tremendous success. Unfortunately many of the players who could have earned cover rights were injured in 2017. This included Carson Wentz, who would have won MVP, Deshaun Watson of the Texans, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, J.J.
