16Super Bowl Losers Who Might Have Been Better Than the Winner
Memory is a funny thing. As I was writing my Frank Gore piece this weekend, I wrote about “when they won the Super Bowl”. Fortunately this was a momentary lapse of reason and I quickly corrected it. I watched that game live, so I have no idea why I thought the 49ers won that game.
It certainly could be because I’m a Browns fan and sometimes like to pretend the Ravens aren’t a thing. It could have been that. More likely, it was because I thought at the time (still do, by the way) that the 49ers were the better team. It got me thinking of other times the “better” team lost the Super Bowl.
