Fixing the NFL catch rule is actually pretty simple. That’s Good Sports lays out the proper wording for the rule, and how it could simplify the understanding of what a catch is. If most fans, and even ex players like John Elway and Tony Romo couldn’t tell you what a catch is, there’s a problem with the way the NFL competition Committee has the rule written. Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys, Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions, Troy Polamalu & Jesse James of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and even Rob Gronkowski would agree with this simplification for what is a catch. It will make the game more exciting, and be beneficial to wide receivers, tight ends, and even defensive backs.

This video is a direct result of the ruling from the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers game. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have done something to the ground, maybe worshiping the ground they themselves walk on, or prey to the devil that lives below, in order to be on the right side of the catch rule on multiple occasions. Ben Roethlisberger, Jesse James, Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, and JuJu-Smith Schuster should read up, on the NFL rules before the playoffs.
