That’s Good Sports is taking an in-depth look at every team in the AFC West to determine who got better and who got worse during the offseason. In this episode Brandon Perna focuses on the Oakland Raiders, breaking down how much a healthy Derek Carr at quarterback will improve the team. Jon Gruden selected offensive tackle Kolton Miller in the first round draft, and took another tackle in the 3rd round. The Raiders must be banking on great depth on the O-line to help not only Carr, but their aging running backs in Marshawn Lynch and Doug Martin. Defensively they didn’t really address their biggest need in their secondary, as their pass defense has been a liability for a few seasons. Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin should still provide plenty of pressure for opposing quarterbacks. Who will finish first in the AFC West?
